I an a Filipino and I have an application for permanent resident to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker class which I submitted last Sept 2006. According to regulations, it would take 60 months for it to be processed. It can only be fast-tracked if I receive a permanent job offer from a Canadian employer confirmed by Human Resoruces and Skills Devt Canada.

My academic background and work experience is not related to hotel jobs, but I am very interested to work in hotels.

I wonder how I can pursue a direct job application in a Vancouber-based hotel. Should I apply to them directly? Will they consider me even if I don't have a hotel job background? I'm willing to learn or be trained and am very much interested in hotel jobs.

I hope I can get a sufficient reply to this comment. Thanks.
